Eyrus Launches Solution to Enable Detailed Contact Tracing & Enforce Social Distancing: SafeProx

SafeProx Contact Tracing and Workforce Management
Eyrus

At the onset of the pandemic in early 2020, various industries, including the construction industry, were forced to shut down projects all over the world with no clear plans on how to safely return to work. Eyrus, a workforce visibility platform, rapidly developed and rolled out SafeProx, which combines Eyrus’ contact tracing and workforce management wearables into one lightweight badge and became a crucial necessity for Eyrus’ customers to manage the safety of their workforce. As the new Delta variant threatens to once again disturb workplaces all over the country, Eyrus has successfully deployed over 35,000 units since 2020 to commercial construction sites, data centers, office buildings, warehouses, and manufacturing plants.

Washington D.C.-based construction-tech startup Eyrus has been providing next-level workforce visibility solutions to general contractors and companies engaging in big construction projects since 2015. When the pandemic broke out, the company was able to quickly pivot its existing technology to offer COVID-specific safety tools and features to help workers get back to work in a safe manner.

This included the successful deployment of SafeProx, an IoT beacon and virtual-access tool that tracks workers and delivers real-time density reports to show how many people are in specific areas of a job site. The SafeProx tool generates audible and visual alerts within close proximity of others to support social distancing protocols. It can also send anonymized data when someone tested COVID-positive so only select workers who were in close proximity have to quarantine, rather than having the entire project shut down for a two-week quarantine period.

“SafeProx Contact Tracing and Workforce ManagementEyrusSafeProx was designed to serve as a form of personal protective equipment (PPE) and has effectively helped our clients keep their projects up and running while ensuring the safety of their teams on-site,” says Alexandra McManus, Co-founder, and CEO of Eyrus. “We have been able to provide our clients with valuable data to prevent site-wide shutdowns in the event of worker testing positive for COVID.”

Eyrus’s SafeProx tool provides stakeholders with the necessary information to manage their projects and worksites with efficiency and confidence. Beyond the context of contact tracing and pandemic protection measures, SafeProx can generate reporting insights on safety, security, attendance, compliance, productivity, and daily report mechanics. Eyrus provides workforce visibility by combining automated data collection and real-time reporting for safety, productivity, security, and progress.

“While created as a direct response to the pandemic, SafeProx can be an essential tool to create the most accurate information flow between stakeholders,” said Hussein Cholkamy, Co-founder and COO of Eyrus. “There is an immediate and practical need for tools like SafeProx as we deal with this pandemic, but our clients also understand the value and insights it can provide on a broader scale.”

Since its inception, Eyrus has provided value to over $220 billion worth of construction projects. The Eyrus platform is designed to be used on all sizes of projects in various sectors ranging from data center construction, residential, multi-family, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure, and healthcare to interior renovation and manufacturing.
