
Caterpillar Equipment Training Solutions has introduced the new Cat 798 AC driver training simulator, developed by ThoroughTec Simulation. This product-specific system forms part of Caterpillar’s training program for the Cat 798 AC truck and features a direct replica of 798 AC operator controls, complete with a six-degree-of-motion platform.
The new simulator is designed to train operators in a safe and realistic way, including an ultra-high definition replication of the mining environment in which the truck operates.
The system also comes complete with dual screens at the instructor’s desk with the ability to provide a flyover view of the entire mining operation as well as monitor equipment and exercise parameters.
