Monimoto has launched Monimoto Business, a wireless GPS tracking solution designed for small and mid-sized construction and equipment rental companies.
The battery-powered tracker is built for equipment such as generators, trailers, tool boxes and light towers. The company said the device can be self-installed without wiring or taking equipment out of service.
Monimoto Business uses a long-life battery capable of operating for up to a year, depending on tracking frequency. Users can monitor assets through a web-based dashboard and receive automated location reports. Because the tracker operates independently from equipment power systems, it can be placed in multiple locations on a machine or asset without draining vehicle batteries.
The company said the system is intended to provide a lower-cost option for contractors looking to improve equipment visibility and reduce time spent locating assets.
