Cat Auction's First Albuquerque Sale Set for April 20

Auction features equipment from Sam Sisneros Operations, Felix Chavez and Sons Construction, Aztec Excavation, and surplus inventory from Wagner Equipment

Cat Auction Services will hold an unreserved public auction on April 20, 2011, beginning at 9 a.m. at 350 North Frontage Road in Bernalillo, N.M. This marks Cat Auction's first New Mexico-based auction, but the third auction in partnership with Wagner Equipment Co.

The auction features equipment from Sam Sisneros Operations, Felix Chavez and Sons Construction, Aztec Excavation, and surplus equipment from Wagner.

The New Mexico event is expected to draw bidders from across the U.S. and around the world. Interested buyers are invited to view the entire equipment list and detailed TA-1 level inspection reports online prior to the event by visiting www.catauctions.com.

Equipment will continue to be added until the week of the auction. Updates are posted on the website as well as notifications on social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Real-time online bidding will be available on the day of the auction through the company’s website, but participants are invited to register early, view inspection reports, and place convenient pre-bids.

"While the online bidding option is always available and is worth checking out, our Leaderboard and theater seating create an atmosphere that is worth showing up for, even if it means a drive," Cat Auction Services President Rick Albin said. "The Colorado auctions we have hosted with Wagner have been a great experience for customers."

The Albuquerque heavy equipment auction is one of a string of spring auctions, coming on the heels of a Houston auction and leading into auctions in Minneapolis, Minn.; Dallas, Texas; and Lafayette, La.

"Wagner Equipment is one of the dealer partners that makes Cat Auction Services unique from the rest of the auction industry," Albin said. "Partnering with dealers allows us to offer a range of services, incredible expertise, and a level of transparency with which other companies cannot compete."

Cat Auction Services entered the heavy equipment auction arena in late 2008 and has been active across the country. Auctions have drawn buyers from 49 states and nearly three dozen countries. The company was formed through a unique partnership of Cat dealers with the endorsement of Caterpillar Inc.
