URS' Flint Energy Division Lands $130 Million Oil Sands Project

Two days after completing acquiring Flint, new URS Oil & Gas division delivers a year's worth of high-visibility work near Fort McMurray

URS Corp.'s Oil & Gas division will build pipeline for a Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage oil sands project in the Wood Buffalo Region near Fort McMurray, Alberta. 

The project – worth up to $130 million to URS – includes below and above ground pipelines, access platforms and valve stations. It requires more than 43 miles (70 km) of gas, oil, water and steam lines ranging from 8- to 24-inch diameters.

URS just completed acquiring Flint Energy Services on May 14. The acquired company became the URS Oil & Gas division, which landed this oil-sands contract.
