With 2022 in the rearview, the rental industry has a lot to look forward to in the new year.

For starters, the American Rental Association Show will head to Orlando in February, and CONEXPO will take on Las Vegas in March.

With my iPhone and reporter’s notebook in tow, I’m eager to learn what people in the rental and construction industries are talking about and to see all of the new products that will be on display on the trade show floors.

In addition to all of that, I am also looking forward to connecting with you, our readers, to learn about how last year went for you, what products you're enthusiastic to try out at the shows, what your challenges have been and how you've worked to overcome them.

The editorial staff and I will be running around to cover as much of the shows as we possibly can, but if you happen to see us, please stop us to say hello. We love to hear from readers and meet new faces. If we don’t get the chance to meet you in person, connect with us after.

Get the full scoop on how you can make the most of your time at the ARA Show here.

In the spirit of fresh starts and looking toward the future, we also have a story on the ARA’s Young Professional program and how it’s seeking to shape the next generation of the rental industry; our general tool and power departments reveal the latest trends in hand tools and EFI capabilities in engines; and our columnist Dick Detmer offers up his wisdom on what he expects the year 2023 to bring.

What events, products or initiatives are you most looking forward to in the new year? I’d love to hear them—and I’m sure your fellow readers would too. Email your thoughts to [email protected] or connect with me on LinkedIn.
