STUDSON announced at the ASSP Safety 2025 Conference in Orlando that its SHK-1 Full Brim safety helmet has achieved dual certification under Canadian CSA Z94.1-15 (R2024) and American ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) standards. It is the first Type II helmet to carry both certifications, simplifying compliance for workers who operate across the U.S.-Canada border.
The helmet was developed with KOROYD’s impact-absorbing technology, which crumples on impact to reduce force and injury risk. The design also improves ventilation by reducing expanded polystyrene foam.
Features include a rear dial-fit system, four-point chin strap with Fidlock buckle, Class C and Class E options, and compatibility with accessories such as face shields, lamps and ear defenders. The helmet also integrates Twiceme technology, which stores emergency contact and medical information for first responders and safety managers.
The dual-certified SHK-1 Full Brim will be available later this year.
