Automated Rental Management (ARM) announces compatibility with Sage 100 Manufacturing (formerly known as JobOps) delivering light manufacturing and job shop management capabilities to its rental software users. ARM is already built on the Sage 100 accounting platform existing as a module that allows users to track equipment across a string of locations to provide easy access to available machinery and scheduling of their use among renters or availability to potential purchase customers. Like ARM, the manufacturing component also exists as a module. The new compatibility allows both modules to exist in the same system.

Hugo Chavez, product manager for ARM Software has pointed out, “We saw a need for developing compatibility by serving clients who worked with JobOps, which was unable to handle the needs of renting equipment in addition to manufacturing items for sale. There is no other partnership that I'm aware of which allows for both manufacturing and renting of equipment within the same system.”

“The ARM integration with JobOps is yet another step in our commitment to offering premier manufacturing solutions, which leverage Sage Accounting platforms our clients already have in place today,” stated Joe Bisaha, Vice President of Operations for Scanco Software. “Through this recent integration with ARM, customers experience accurate, robust integration with their manufacturing and rental management solutions and inventory, which improves efficiencies and leads to new opportunities for cost reduction.”

Before the compatibility release between Automated Rental Management and Sage 100 Manufacturing, users had to use two different systems for manufacturing and rental management. Now customers can view the same inventory, chart of accounts and write reports on the same data within one single system. While the two are not fully integrated, the compatibility release serves as a stepping stone to future integration.
