Roof Construction Resumes at Vikings Stadium After Worker's Death

Work resumes as the investigation is still on-going as to what caused employee to fall 50 feet from the roof during construction

CBS Minnesota

While investigators are still working to determine what caused Jeramy Gruber, an employee with Berwald Roofing and Sheet Metal Company to fall 50 feet to his death while installing the roof on the new Minnesota Vikings stadium, installation of the roof has resumed. In cooperation with Mortenson Construction and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, Berwald Roofing reviewed the roofing conditions and has been cleared to continue installing the stadium's roofing system.

Employees will wear a sticker with Gruber's initials on the back of their hard hats in memory of their coworker.
