YellowBird and Board of Certified Safety Professionals Collaborate to Expand EHS Opportunities

Partnership benefits businesses seeking on-demand EHS professionals by quickly providing them with the vetted, certified expertise they need.

YellowBird, a nationwide gig economy marketplace that matches vetted Risk and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professionals with businesses on-demand, announces a new partnership with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). BCSP and YellowBird will use their collaborative efforts, expertise, technologies, and resources to integrate networks and streamline credential checks in the hiring process. The move also benefits businesses seeking EHS professionals by quickly providing them with the vetted, certified expertise they need.

"Businesses in insurance, construction, manufacturing, oil and gas and other high-risk industries rely on YellowBird to help them hire qualified professionals with BCSP credentials for critical projects,” said Michael Zalle, CEO and founder of YellowBird. “By integrating networks, BCSP and YellowBird can better serve certified safety professionals, the companies who seek them and all who value safety.”

The expertise behind these acronyms is of essence for high-consequence projects. BCSP credentials include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), and Transitional Safety Practitioner (TSP), to name a few. All professionals on YellowBird’s platform go through an extensive five-step vetting process, which includes background and accreditation checks. The network integration will generate a faster on-boarding process.

"In these uncertain times, a faster hiring process helps BCSP credential holders professionally as they build their experience," says J.A. Rodriguez Jr., CSP, ASP; BCSP Chief Strategy Officer.

YellowBird’s suite of services includes OSHA incident investigations and mock audits, industrial hygiene, on-site safety manager, program and policy development, custom projects and training. During the pandemic, the company's EHS professionals also helped small businesses, schools, and religious organizations develop safety protocols and training with a COVID-19 return-to-work program.

The entire EHS industry benefits from the collaboration between YellowBird and the BCSP, since connecting BCSP credential holders with businesses through on-demand gigs expands EHS career opportunities and makes it easier to ensure safe workplaces.
