The CDS Solution for Stormwater Management

Tube Assembly 11519610

CDS has developed a new alternative to traditional pervious stormwater drainage systems that reduces the need for storm sewers, detention systems, grading, earthmoving and pavement sloping.  It is an effective method for managing stormwater on large concrete paved areas.

  • Used with standard Portland cement concrete and standard 6-gauge 6” x 6” wire mesh reinforcement
  • It is a ‘green’ technology and does not require special tools or skills
  • The system uses standard concrete instead of a special pervious concrete mix, so it not only saves money, but is available anywhere you can buy standard concrete
  • The CDS method standard concrete pavement becomes pervious by means of tubes that form holes in the surface allowing water to drain through to the granular subgrade below
  • These tubes are inserted into a specially designed receptacle, which is snap-connected to standard 6-gauge wire mesh intersections.
  • Made of standard PVC Pressure Pipe, cut to length and installed without the need for special tools or skills
  • Drain tubes are inserted during the wire mesh assembly process using 12-inch centers, or every other standard 6-inch mesh joint
  • The tubes can be sized to match the desired thickness of the pavement and will act as the support chair elevating the wire reinforcement above the subgrade
  • Protective caps with a metal insert are used on the top of the tube during construction to keep the tube clear of concrete.  Later, the caps are removed magnetically. They can be cleaned and reused any number of times.
