Cat Recalls Most of 400 Workers Laid Off in IN

$50,000 training grant expected to raise engine-plant payroll to 2,250

Caterpillar Inc. has recalled many of the 400 workers it laid off from a Lafayette, Ind., engine plant and expects to hire as many as 350 of them back.
