JLG Industries has introduced the Virtual Remote Assistant, a technical support tool designed to help field technicians troubleshoot equipment more efficiently.
The system allows technicians to connect with JLG support staff through a live video session using a smartphone or mobile device. With a secure link, users can share a real-time view of equipment without downloading additional software.
The platform is intended to improve diagnostics compared to traditional phone-based support. During sessions, support representatives can provide visual guidance, including highlighting or pointing out components on the technician’s screen to help identify issues more quickly.
JLG said the tool is designed to reduce downtime, improve first-time fix rates and limit repeat service calls by enabling more accurate troubleshooting in the field.
The Virtual Remote Assistant is part of the company’s broader effort to expand digital service capabilities and support equipment maintenance across the lifecycle.
