Washington, D.C. - In today's fast-paced, margin-focused business climate, it is essential to extract maximum value from your project tools - especially your management software system. To help transportation design and construction industry estimators, project managers and schedulers get master Primavera Project Planner P3 and P6 software, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) is offering two scheduling academies in November and December.
The ARTBA P3 scheduling academy, to be held November 29-December 1 in Washington, D.C., was developed to teach industry professional to effectively use P3 software in conjunction with critical path methods (CPM) to effectively manage transportation construction projects.
The ARTBA P6 scheduling academy, scheduled for December 1-3, also in Washington, D.C., will focus on the use of P6 software and other tricks of the trade to make planning and scheduling your projects easier.
Acclaimed instructor Jay Newitt, Ph.D., a Brigham Young University professor, will lead participants in both academies through the scheduling process using the software and other tools. Newitt is one of the industry's leading critical path method educators and a prominent author of construction scheduling, project management and oversight textbooks. He has trained over 5,000 project managers and superintendents and has developed a method to teach complex industry principles in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
Students who graduate from either scheduling academy will know how to use schedules to manage and track many aspects of a transportation project - people, materials, key operational benchmarks and payment schedules.
Each academy is open for enrollment at $1,795 for ARTBA members and $1,995 for non-members.
