Command Alkon has acquired Digital Fleet, a company specializing in fleet management solutions for the heavy building materials industry. The acquisition includes Digital Fleet’s full product suite and team and marks an expansion of Command Alkon’s efforts to strengthen its technology offerings across logistics and operations.

Digital Fleet, previously owned by Ozinga Ventures, brings experience in mobile-first fleet technology and has served customers in the construction and heavy materials space. With this acquisition, Command Alkon plans to integrate Digital Fleet into its broader Command Cloud ecosystem, which includes solutions for dispatch, supply chain management, batching, quoting and payments.

Company officials say the addition of Digital Fleet’s capabilities will give materials producers and suppliers more flexibility and access to real-time operational insights.

The company also stated it will continue to support and develop both Digital Fleet and its existing TrackIt fleet management platform, with future updates expected to focus on unified solutions within the Command Cloud infrastructure.

Tim Oakes, former CEO of Digital Fleet, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Global Head of Fleet Solutions at Command Alkon. He will oversee the combined fleet management portfolio and help guide the strategic development of integrated fleet technologies.

Command Alkon says Digital Fleet customers will now have access to expanded support services, including onboarding programs and training resources designed to help users scale technology adoption across their operations.

The acquisition reflects broader industry trends as building materials companies seek out connected technologies to improve efficiency and better manage increasingly complex logistics demands.
