STUDSON has announced its SHK-1 Full Brim safety helmet is now certified under both the Canadian CSA Z94.1-15 (R2024) and U.S. ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) standards. This is the first Type II helmet to achieve dual certification, allowing seamless compliance for workers operating across the U.S.-Canada border.

The updated helmet is designed for industries such as construction, oil and gas, forestry, and mining. To meet both certification standards, STUDSON enhanced the helmet with additional KOROYD impact-absorbing material and reduced EPS foam for improved protection and ventilation.

The helmet also includes integrated Twiceme technology, enabling first responders and safety managers to access emergency info and manage certifications. It retains core features like a dial-fit system, four-point chin strap with Fidlock magnetic buckle and compatibility with STUDSON accessories.

Both Class C and Class E versions will be available in full-brim, low-profile designs. The dual-certified SHK-1 is expected to be available later this year, with a version featuring the HighBar mono-chinstrap system launching in October.
