The World Cement Association announced today that China National Building Materials Group, the largest cement producer in the world, has joined its fast-growing, international membership.
“We are delighted to welcome CNBM to our global cement community, and look forward to working with them and our other members to improve best practice and promote the cement industry around the globe,” says Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. “We are also particularly honoured that Mr. Song Zhiping, Chairman of CNBM, has agreed to be the keynote speaker at WCA World Cement Conference next month, organised in association with Intercem.”
CNBM is the world’s leading cement producer with 351.4 Mt of production and 514 Mt of capacity. The company is also engaged in lightweight building materials, glass fibre, composite materials and engineering services businesses and has revenue of more than RMB 100 bn.
The WCA World Cement Conference and Gala Dinner, co-organized with Intercem, will take place next month on December 11-12 in central London.
