CM Labs Simulations announced a major update to its Tracked Excavator simulator module, now featuring Trimble Autos machine control integration. The company debuted the new technology at the 2025 Trimble Dimensions User Conference.
Developed in collaboration with Trimble, the integration combines CM Labs’ soil simulation with Trimble’s machine control capabilities. Trimble Autos automatically adjusts the excavator’s stick and bucket to align precisely with the design surface, helping operators improve accuracy and efficiency while learning proper excavation techniques in a risk-free environment.
Operators can choose from multiple pre-installed design files to simulate real-world jobsite conditions and refine their skills across different excavation challenges.
“CM Labs has the only training simulator solution with such an in-depth integration,” said Alan Limoges, manager of product growth and partnerships at CM Labs. “It gives operators a safe, cost-effective way to master machine control before using real equipment, reducing errors and rework on the jobsite.”
The Trimble Autos feature is part of the Trimble Earthworks add-on module and will expand to other CM Labs earthmoving products in future updates. The enhancement builds on CM Labs’ growing library of machine control modules designed to help contractors train operators more efficiently and safely.
